things i want to do in 2012
*go to jazzfest
*go camping more than once
*read all of the song of ice and fire books in time for the second season of game of thrones to start
*save money
*do yoga more regularly
*get stronger. literally and figuratively.
*learn something new
*get as many people on board (pun absolutely intended) with the Guess Who Halloween costumes as possible
*give clothes away
*love
that's all i got for now, but i think it's a good list.

this n' that
*i finally watched Bridesmaids. my girl crush on kristin wiig is now off the charts.
*i went on a date that lasted 37 minutes. it effectively ended when he put his hand on my neck and i shouted "IT'S A FIRST DATE, CHIEF". (I told Frank Benson this and he gave me the thumbs up and then laughed for like half an hour)
*my friend listed this tumblr on her gchat status and changed my life: http://animalstalkinginallcaps.tumblr.com/
*i finally did some volunteer work with BREW (the beagle rescue outfit that we got Mr. P from) - I picked up two little angels from Centreville (that were coming from Charlottesville, in a panel van that was filled front to back, top to bottom with crated dogs) and took them to the main BREW vet office in Purcellville.
it was essentially the best two hours of my life.
*i made my first ebay bid ever. EVER. in the year 2011.
*i get to take business trips!

friendship.
saturday afternoon i was taking kelley's sister julie out to lunch to celebrate her leaving for college (pause, go ahead and feel old....i'll wait....good? okay.) and we ran into missy and franklin! as we were leaving:
missy: "what are you up to for the rest of the day?"
laura: "just going home, i have a ton of laundry to do"
the next day (today) we had a birthday brunch for jean, and as franklin, missy and i are walking to our cars:
franklin: "what are you doing for the rest of the day? doing the laundry you didn't do yesterday?"
HE'S TOTALLY RIGHT. i'm so predictable.
